USA - here I come

You've just caught me before I go off to America for our annual holiday with my husband Mike.  I thought I should put a card on before I went however.  So, instead of packing my case, I have been crafting.
I went to The Craft Barn in Lingfield yesterday.  Met some friends there - Judi, Anna and Gill and saw Jenny from Hobby Art demonstrating in one of the halls.  I was quite restrained and didn't spend much but I did pick up a bit of inspiration.  Don't you find it's hard to remember everything you've seen?
There was a lady there called Francoise Read and she was using nice modern peel offs (sorry Sharon).  She was colouring the flowers in with gel roll pens, then adding glitter.  Well, you know I like a bit of glitz, so I had a go and this is the result.  I have glittered up the flower and the leaves and stuck them down with silicone glue.  I have used an embossing folder to get the frame shape and the sentiment is from Hero Arts. A few gems send it over the top - et voila.
Did you see Clarity on the TV this morning?  Great show as usual and Kim's cards were super.
So, it's off to Heathrow on Tuesday morning at an ungodly hour. We spend a night in Miami and then join a cruise ship.  We then sail up the East coast of The USA, starting at Port Everglades, then on to Port Canaveral.  Then Charleston, up to New York, Newport and Boston.  Then we sail down to The Azores and home to Southampton. So wish me Bon Voyage and I'll be back in just over two weeks.  Mike's daughter is staying here and looking after my baby dog.  I hope he behaves himself.  I'm going to miss him but I am looking forward to the trip. Au revoir mes amies.
